My Journey Into Film Composition

What's up everyone, its Marquis here and I am excited about somethings that have been taking place lately in life. I'm glad for a New Year for starters and I know I havent been posting like I really wanted to but theres been some amazing things going on behind the scenes. I have some cool projects coming out under my artist name The Dwah Experience. Meaning new music, new website, some new merch coming through this year! I've been most excited about this new opportunity in composing music for film. I was actually approached to create music for a hard knock type series for Piscataway Varsity Basketball as well as Rutgers "The Forgotten Era" basketball where an alumni player talks about going against Michael Jordan in college at Madison Square Garden.

I love writing lyrics and creating music but I never thought I would be doing film composition! I must say, I really love it and can see myself making an honest living off of that. But honestly, none of this would be obtainable if I didn't know how to play and create music by EAR! I was able to look at footage, get the feel and emotion behind it, and then boom, music came out! So I urge you, learn how to play piano by ear, everything else will open up for you.

Don't take my word for it, check out some of the videos on Youtube

In this interview the coach shares a powerful message about the 4 D's in life and how it has shaped his entire life. Dedication, Discipline, Desire, & Defense. I want you to watch that video not because of the music that I provided but because of the message in it. It's life changing and something we should all strive to live by.

Be blessed in this new year of 2022!
